Hannah is Network Development Coordinator for the Liverpool City Region at Resolve Poverty. Her role involves identifying opportunities to support anti-poverty activities across the city region and to complement strategic responses to poverty by engaging with cross-sectoral stakeholder organisations.
Prior to her position at Resolve Poverty, Hannah obtained a PhD in Sociology at The University of Manchester by researching the impact and experience of the UK’s Syrian refugee resettlement programme. She subsequently managed a series of UK-based and international projects on lived experiences of poverty, including in relation to people in the asylum system, and residents with No Recourse to Public Funds. Hannah has published her research and policy recommendations on various platforms, including in academic journals, books and policy briefings. She has also led public engagement initiatives on these topics in correspondence with the BBC regional news, UNHCR, the UK Home Office, the British Red Cross, and All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys singing, walking her dog Lyra, listening to musicals, and catching up with friends and family over a cup of tea and cake.
