Thank you to our Principal Partners

By Graham Whitham, Chief Executive Officer at Resolve Poverty

We are delighted that 23 organisations have signed up as Principal Partners for 2025.

These organisations are: Aire Logic, Assura, Caritas Salford, Caritas Shrewsbury, First Choice Homes Oldham, Irwell Valley Homes, Jigsaw Homes, Jonathan Seabrook, Kellogg’s, the L&Q Foundation, Macc, Manchester City Council, Manchester Credit Union, Manchester Metropolitan University, Oxfam, Salford City Council, Save the Children, Stockport Council, Tameside Council, the University of Manchester, the University of Salford, Wigan Council, and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.

Our Greater Manchester Principal Partner scheme helps us to continue to tackle poverty in the city-region. Principal Partners support us to:

  • Support stakeholders with the knowledge to tackle poverty, for example by producing the North West Poverty Monitor and our Greater Manchester monthly bulletin
  • Directly respond to poverty in Greater Manchester, for example by producing Money Advice Referral Tools and providing debt and benefit advice to parents in schools
  • Amplify our voice, for example by engaging in key strategic Greater Manchester anti-poverty forums like the Tackling Inequalities Board and the GM Live Well Financial Resilience Group.

By supporting us, our Principal Partners directly contribute to local anti-poverty efforts and have the opportunity to support our work strategically, participating in advisory group meetings.

We are really pleased to have such a fantastic range of cross-sector organisations currently signed up to the scheme. Their input and support is extremely valuable to our work, and we wouldn’t be able to do the work we do in Greater Manchester without them.

“It’s often said that Greater Manchester is a thriving and exciting place to be. If you’re doing well, that’s true. But it is not true for everyone. We have not eliminated poverty. There are still massive differences in the opportunities, wealth and life expectancy of people who live and work here. Macc is a supporter of Resolve Poverty because we want to call attention to these issues, the factors which cause them and build a movement which will create real change.” – Mike Wild, Chief Executive of Macc

If you’re interested in joining the Greater Manchester Principal Partner scheme, please get in touch at graham@resolvepoverty.org. Principal Partners receive a range of benefits for their organisation, including exclusive discounts on our training and events and promotion across our channels. We’d love to have you join.
