On day one we’ll be majoring on national policy developments and their relevance to local and regional action on poverty. Breakout sessions will explore a range of policy themes, including health, local welfare provision and housing.
Here are some of the topics we will be discussing:
- How we can maximise the impact of the Crisis and Resilience Fund
- The role of health in local and regional responses to poverty
- The opportunities and challenges of devolution for addressing poverty
- How the socio-economic duty can ensure tackling poverty is everyone’s responsibility.
Breakout sessions on day two will build on this, delving into initiatives that maximise household incomes and tackle debt. Keynote sessions will explore the centrality of these initiatives in supporting people to live good lives and realise their potential.
Here are some of the topics we will be discussing:
- How do we ensure anti-poverty efforts bring people together in an increasingly fractured country
- Maximising benefit take up across communities

Still can’t decide which day to attend?
Here’s a quick guide to help you choose. Day One is ideal if you’re interested in the bigger picture — exploring how national policy developments shape local and regional action on poverty. You’ll hear about key policy themes such as health, local welfare provision, and housing, and join discussions on topics like the Crisis and Resilience Fund, devolution, and the socio-economic duty. Day Two takes a more practical focus, diving into local initiatives that help maximise household incomes and tackle debt. Sessions will explore benefit take-up, community-based family support, and local responses to debt, as well as how to bring communities together in the fight against poverty.
Booking for both days will allow you to get the most out of our conference. However, if you’re only able to attend one day and are unsure which would best suit your interests, please email us at contact@resolvepoverty.org, we’ll be happy to help you decide.
